we like to talk about

sex

Why this podcast?

There just aren’t enough sex-positive resources from a progressive Christian perspective, with a solid clinical foundation, to be found in the world. The ones that do exist aren’t always easy to find and may not be queer-inclusive. We decided to change that. And that’s the origin story of “Sex Positive God Pod: Progressive Pastors Answer Your Sex and Relationship Questions”. People talk with us about these things ALL THE TIME… in our churches, the therapy room, and classroom. Why not open that conversation up to you? Every episode features listener-submitted questions with answers that cover clinical, pastoral, theological, and educational aspects of each subject. Plus, we have plenty of stories to share.

Meet us!

The Rev. Leah Robberts-Mosser

Leah pastors Community United Church of Christ in Champaign, IL, a just-peace, theologically progressive, LGBTQ Open and Affirming congregation in the heart of the University of Illinois. Leah is an Our Whole Lives sex educator for grades 7-9, 10-12, and all adult age ranges. She earned a Master of Divinity from the Chicago Theology Seminary and is currently writing a memoir. Leah is married to the Rev. David Robberts-Mosser who pastors Trinity UCC, Westville, IL. She loves cooking, thrifting, The Walking Dead, One Direction (Louis is her favorite), and being a mom…. not necessarily in that order.

The Rev. Jennifer Aull

Jennifer co-pastors Greenpoint Reformed Church in Brooklyn, NY, with her wife, the Rev. Ann Kansfield. Jennifer is also a Marriage and Family Therapist and a certified Sex therapist with a group practice. She earned a Master of Divinity from Union Seminary in New York and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University. Jennifer is completing her PhD in Clinical Sexology – her research is on the impact of purity culture messaging. When she’s not pastoring or being a therapist, she is a mom, a lover of historical fiction, and decent cook.
